.
Dear Deganwy Quay Boat Owners,

Since my last communiqué on 27 February, dredging of the inlet area and fuel pontoon has been completed and we have had our first social of the year.

Barbeque

The event on Friday17 April was attended by over 50 people but sadly only three children and two couples bothered with get-up in the spirit of the pirate theme – one couple being the writer and partner who felt total pratts as Somali pirates. However, it was all in the best possible taste and with entertainment from a dynamic guitar duo and a glorious sunset the feedback was that everyone had an enjoyable evening and money was raised for the RNLI.

Services.

Member Ian Stockdale advises members that Paul Roberts of Permagard is happy to offer Club members a discount on his competitively priced surface treatment to hulls etc. His treatment reduces oxidization and the need to “T cut” every year.

His e-mail address is
paul@permagard.info and the website www.permagard.info

Decking.
Plans by Quay Marinas for a substantial decking area for boat owners’ use are currently displayed on the notice board adjacent to the Marina Office. However, some objections have not been validated whilst several letters of support have been received. I would suggest that those members who also have homes on the Quay and any others in favour e-mail Julie at the Marina Office
jjones@quaymarinas.com  if they support this benevolent gesture by the owners, in order to expedite its construction.

The current weather burst augers well for a brilliant season so enjoy your boating.
